Old News: 2019-2020

I've been absent but not idle, and at last we have a new release: Madou Monogatari III (Sorcery Saga III) for the Game Gear! Just in time for the game's 25th anniversary, or at least I hope so. Some sources say December 30th, others say November 25th. We're definitely close, anyway!

I've also released a small v1.1 update to the Madou Monogatari II patch that fixes some typos and updates a few lines of text, mostly to keep consistent with the translation for III.

Apropos of nothing, I've made a hack of Rockman World 2/Mega Man II for Game Boy that attempts to fix the game's ear-splitting music. Turns out you need to be careful about how you generate your frequency conversion tables!

I also hacked the existing GBS soundtrack for the game to incorporate the change, so get it if that's your thing.

Updated Chou Soujuu Mecha MG patch to version 1.1. This is a minor update that fixes a bug which could cause the game to occasionally crash when trying to leave a shop. Thanks to Delta for bringing this to my attention and helping test the fixed version. I also took the opportunity to tweak a few lines of dialogue and fix a typo that slipped through.

Straight out of limbo into the "complete" section, it's our latest release: a full translation of Chou Soujuu Mecha MG!

This was the second translation project I ever worked on and the largest to date, I believe. It languished for a year and a half without a translator, and I thought no one would ever pick it up, but Phantom showed up out of nowhere earlier this year and made all my dreams come true. Hope someone out there is as happy to see this as I am.

And as if that wasn't enough, Phantom also scanslated several chapters of the game's tie-in manga! Check it out!

After an unplanned absence of several months, I'm finally back and getting caught up on all the stuff I should've had done ages ago. Sorry to everyone I've kept waiting. Sometimes, things don't go the way I hope.

In the most exciting news, the Moldorian translation has been updated to version 1.1. In addition to some minor bugfixes and enhancements, it now includes a beautiful scanslation of the user manual! I can't thank Novyal enough for being kind enough to make it, and for putting up with me taking forever to actually release it. Check it out!

I also discovered that the home page link at the top of the site navbar was broken on virtually every page and had been so since this site's creation. Good thing no one apparently noticed!

• Made a long-overdue update to the Links page to add the websites/profiles of people I've worked with. Hope I didn't miss anyone.
• Added link to Madou Monogatari II Git repo.
• Made a few more tweaks to the site, since I've apparently decided underlined links are tacky and the colors I was using for them didn't have enough contrast. The homepage intro has changed yet again because I'm incapable of satisfying myself.
